December Daily Process 2014

I have decided to do my December Daily in a 12x12 pocketed page format. Any christmas pages will go into an album with past and future December Daily pages and hopefully some layouts as well. I haven't decided what album I will go with yet, I'm just having fun putting the pages together.

So I decided to keep it simple and was proud of myself for not pulling out the mists (don't know if that will continue though) and I loved the outcome!

Here are some close up pics of each card and below you'll find a video and a list of products I used.

Products Used:
Kaisercraft Captured Moments - Peppermint Swirl
Kaisercraft Rhinestones - Red
Dear Lizzy Alpha Stickers
Studio Calico- Flair and printable tag (from 25 days class kit 2013 & 2014)

Project Life App

It took me a little bit to finally purchase The Project Life App. I honestly thought I didn't need it. Boy I was wrong.
I absolutely love this app! I've been having fun playing with it and mixing it up with other apps, mainly RD Magic and Rhonna Designs.
I know for sure now that my whole 2015 PL will be created in this app, which will give me a chance to catch up (traditionally and using the app also) on my this years album (which won't be finished when the year comes to a close) and also finish my 2012 and 2013 albums.
So here is the page I created over the weekend, it took me 5 mins to put together the page and approx. 10-15 mins to do the pretty stuff in other apps.

As I mentioned I used RD Magic and the Rhonna Designs app to jazz my page up a bit and I just love how it came out. I also love that I'm able to use my Collect photos in the Project Life app.

So as its school holidays I won't be doing much traditional crafting as I would like but I will be playing some more within this app and will create a few videos on how I'm using it and how I plan to print my spreads out and do a cross of digital and hybrid in my album next year.

Until next time, I hope you are having a crafty day

A New Kit Club!

So I have recently decided to quit my two subscriptions (Studio Calico - Project Life and Scraptastic - This Life Noted) and just go with two kits from The Scrappery.
I have nothing bad to say about the first two companies, in fact I had nothing but a good experience with both of them, especially Studio Calico who accommodated my needs when they changed and were always on the ball to answer or help me with anything I needed. So why quit?

1. The Scrappery is an Aussie company, I love to support my fellow Ausssies!

2. The postage from overseas gets pricey! I get two kits sent from within Australia to me at less cost.

3. I will receive my kit within a few days of it being posted! (Yes I really am that impatient lol)

4. It was time for a change! I love Studio Calico and Scraptastic but I just wasn't using all the product coming in the kits! Mainly it was the cards and I have no idea why I was finding it so hard to use them.

5. I love Naes style of pocket scrapbooking (she is one of the owners of The Scrappery) I love the colours she uses and she is designing the cards that go into The Pretty Little Kit (Project Life/Pocket Scrapbooking kit)

Yesterday I received my first kits from The Scrappery (a day after they were posted!) and I absolutely love both kits! I made a video sharing what I got.

I was also pleasantly surprised to find that I had won a prize. I had opened my package to find a Golden Ticket inside with some prizes!

I most likely won't be doing any crafting/Project Life until my kids finish school holidays and are back at school (one week and counting lol)  If you want to check out the kits and other goodies The Scrappery has on offer you can visit them here. Until then I will say bye and I hope you are having a crafty day!

Project Life Week 1 2014 with Process Video

I know it's already March and I've just completed Week 1 of my Project Life but I'm ok with that! I was going to go with the monthly approach again this year but decided to go weekly. Why?
I found last year I was trying to put way to many stories and photos into my album and I guess thats how I fell behind. So this year I'm trying the weekly approach and see how I go with it.

I filmed myself putting together my first week you can view the videos below. I will also get some photos of the cards when the weather isn't so dark and dreary.

If you guys would like to see more videos like this please leave a comment, or like and subscribe over on my You Tube channel.

All the page protectors I used are Becky Higgins with the exception of the 6x12 insert which is an American Crafts page protector. (It had 6 4x6 landscape photo pockets either side and I cut it down the middle)

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day.

Oh yeah baby! It's been years since I knocked out a 12x12 layout, I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself at the moment!

I did do the layout in small chunks whenever time allowed, which meant I was creating over 3 days. I have watched Art Class 1 and 2 over at 2 Peas in a Bucket and I guess thats what influenced this style of layout. I tried lots of new things and my fingers stayed quite inky for days!
